A day in the life of a Training Specialist involves:

-Supporting Programs such as; Conduct of Operations, Work Planning, Radiological Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Programs, and/or Business Services. This training is delivered to all ranks of employees within the company.
-Prepare training needs analysis, including Job task analysis.
-Design and develop training materials for Classroom, On-the-job, Performance demonstrations, Computer-based and Self-study.
-Perform classroom instruction, approximately 10% of job duties.

Required Qualifications
-BA/BS, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of designing and/or delivering instructional materials.

Desired Qualifications
-Working knowledge related to the following Programs – Nuclear Facility Operations, Nuclear/Criticality Safety, Radiological Protection, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Programs, and/or Business Services.
-Experience with video and graphical editing software such as Camtasia, Storyline, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
-Experience with training development software program, VISION.
-Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
-Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
-Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
-Knowledge of DOE Order 426.2, "Personnel Selection, Qualification, and Training Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities".
