Job Responsibilities/Duties
Serve as the manager of Air and Water Permitting within Environmental Protection organization. Responsibilities include permitting and permit management for Tank Farms contract scope within the Hanford Site Air Operating Permit, Dangerous Waste Permit, State Waste Water Discharge Permit, Underground Injection Control permits and Underground Storage Tank license. Including development of documentation for activities as required by the DOE administered National Environmental Policy Act and State Environmental Policy Act of Washington.
Develop permitting approaches and/or strategies to support project schedules,
Negotiate agreements and permit changes to support Production Operations, Retrieval, Closure and Project organizations
Assisting in the requirements identification, flow down, verification, and implementation related to permitting, and subsequent coordination with other environmental groups, operations and projects
Interacting with DOE, regulatory agencies, and other site contractors
Provide senior leadership and subject matter expertise to the permitting staff
Manage daily activities of permitting group
Ensure timely and accurate submittal of permitting documents to support Production Operations, Retrieval, Closure and Project organizations
Participate in continuous improvement and organizational development activities
Serve as primary interface with other Hanford Contractors, DOE and Regulatory for management of Permits
Functional Area Manager for procedures within scope of Environmental Permitting group.

Required Qualifications
BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 12 years related experience; to include technical experience in a number of Air regulations specifically;

Clean Air Act of 1990.

Washington Department of Ecology Health Impact Assessment Protocol
Emission dispersion modeling (AERMOD)
