Job Duties/Scope Of Work
First Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of electricians and instrument specialists within the Technical Security organization. Manage bargaining unit personnel to safely and efficiently complete scheduled maintenance activities. Coordinates all activities for assigned work scope with the customers' representatives. Recommends personnel actions related to assigned personnel in accordance with HMIS policies and procedures.

Other work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Plan and schedule resources as necessary to meet work priorities.
* Follow and comply with strict Department of Energy orders related to maintenance and operations of security systems.
* Work directly with bargaining unit personnel in the field to maintain continuity of safe operations.
* Interact with operations and other customers at all levels.
* Investigate and report all events and occurrences.
* Ensure work is performed in a safe, cost effective manner.
* Provide support to implement and manage work packages and work management process for the organization.
* Manage organization's fleet of vehicles including bucket trucks.
* Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications
* BA/BS degree and 10 years of experience managing activities, supervising (i.e. Fieldwork Supervisor, Supervisor, Superintendent, General Foreman or Foreman) maintenance or construction activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Must have previous experience in managing multiple craft disciplines.

* Working knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70 & 70E.

* Must have the ability to operate a computer workstation and demonstrate basic computer skills/knowledge and be Microsoft Office capable.

*** Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" Security Clearance. Any offer of employment is contingent on the applicant passing a background investigation. As part of the investigation, Federal investigators will examine many aspects of the applicant's past including; financial and criminal histories, mental and emotional health, education and travel, drug and alcohol usage, personal and organizational relationships, as well as other aspects of applicant's background.

Desired Qualifications
* Knowledgeable with a formal Lock and Tag and electrical safety procedure.
* Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program, WA 01 electrical license or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience supervising electricians and/or instrument specialists.
* Demonstrated experience with installing and maintaining security sensor technologies.
* Demonstrated experience with supervising personnel that are CDL and CMV qualified.
