Job Responsibilities/Duties
Mission Integration Analysis is looking for a talented developer that enjoys building and streamlining software development environments while working in a collaborative Agile environment to build innovative solutions to solve complex problems. Specifically, this position will develop and maintain software Agile development processes include continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, release management, and supporting the end-to-end release process. In addition, this position is responsible for acquiring and maintaining commercial software and administering existing servers.
Duties include functioning as a DevOps by designing, implementing, and overseeing an agile software development process, including the evaluation of existing software management applications and platforms, researching new industry standard tools and techniques, providing recommendations for enhancing performance via gap analysis, and identifying the most practical alternative solutions and assisting with modifications. As well as preforming the procurement and administration activities of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Implementing Agile principles and NQA-1 requirements into a software development process;
* Collaborate with Agile development teams to implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines;
* Identifying areas for modification in existing systems and subsequently developing these modifications;
* Support the purchasing, updating, and versioning of COTS software;
* Deploying COTS software tools, processes, and metrics;
* Automating the Software Life Cycle Documentation (SLCD) process;
* Frequently review, understand, and implement engineering model requirements;
* Perform software design, development, and testing;
* Ensuring requirements meet software quality standards;
* Sharing your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code;
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Ten (10) years of related software development experience
Experience working with automating Agile development processes
Experience with Microsoft Stack (Visual Studio, IIS, C#, SSMS)
Desired Qualifications
Experience with industry standard software management tools such as Atlassian Jira or Azure Devops
Experience with configuration management tools such as Subversion and/or Git
Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, or equivalent
Experience with Agile development methods
Experience with common Microsoft development patterns (WPF, XAML, and MVVM)
Strong familiarity with software design and architectural patterns
Familiarity with process modelling or scientific computing (i.e. Chem Engineering process models)
